We request the following permissions to your device:
• Internet
We require an active network connection to communicate with The General® ; all communication occurs over a secured channel.
• Access Network State
This allows the application to determine whether you currently have an active network connection; this is needed during the normal course of the application as well as during the new claim creation process.
• Access Coarse Location
This is only used during the new claim report functionality and is only used to approximate your current location.
• Read Phone State
This allows the application to set your phone number for our claims department to contact you after you submit a new claim. If you like, you can supply a different contact number.
• Write External Storage
This allows the application to store data items on the device's SD card; this is used mainly as temporary storage to store pictures during new claim reporting.
• Write Settings
This permission is only used if the user chooses to use one of our ringtones.
• Set Wallpaper
This permission is only used if the user chooses to use one of our wallpapers.
• Camera
Permission to your camera is only used during the new claim reporting portion of the application.
• Wake Lock
This permission is used during the upload of a new claim report. The application-local service which performs this work runs ONLY after the creation of a new claim and shuts itself down once the upload process is done.
